Monitoring of ammonia in drinking water

Because rivers may suddenly contain high values of ammonia resulting from unregulated sewage works or from spreading fertilisers, continuous monitoring of ammonia is important for the treatment plants. Ammonia monitoring can also be used to control a chloramination process.

Thanks to a unique method based on UV spectroscopy, stable and reliable measurements can be made with the AM200 analysers, without using any reagents except sodium hydroxide (NaOH) which is very common andinexpensive.

As the measurement is made on the gaseous phase, suspended solids or turbidity do not cause any trouble and no filtration is required.

The graphic display (on which are recorded the previous measurements) and the function keys make the AM200 user-friendly.
